Session on sisterhood held

Minhaj Sisters London organised a small gathering with Alima Faiza Qadri (who is currently based in Dallas, working for MQI).

The topic of the gathering was Sisterhood. The session began with the beautiful recitation of the Holy Quran and Durood upon the Prophet ﷺ recited by Hafisa Amina Hussain (student of MQI).

Sister Khadijah Atkinson hosted this session with an ice breaker whereby sisters introduced themselves to each other with a short description after which Detective Chief Inspector Shabnam Choudry gave a short message on sisterhood and praised Minhaj ul Quran International London for their involvement in community work and also invited MQI sisters to an event in London arranged by Met Police.

Alima Faiza Qadri shared her experiences and challenges in expanding the work of Minhaj ul Quran in Dallas and setting up teams. She spoke about the importance of sisterhood in any Minhaj ul Quran setup and suggested ways of maintaining a strong bond with each other.

This motivational talk was followed by a short Q&A session in which Alima Faiza encouraged sisters to work harmoniously with each other and work openly with other organisations to aid networking.

The session was concluded with a duaa by sr Zohra Khatoon Hussain and a chance at the end for sisters to meet with Alima Faiza.

We wish to thank Alima Faiza Qadri for giving us her time and pray that all her efforts and endeavours are successful. Ameen.
