Scholar Screening Held in Minhaj-ul-Quran Lahore

Minhaj-ul-Quran International reached an important milestone on April 19, 2025, as comprehensive screening interviews for scholar candidates were held at the Lahore headquarters. This initiative, spearheaded by Minhaj-ul-Quran Denmark, is part of a new international recruitment process aimed at strengthening overseas centers with qualified scholars aligned with the vision of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.

This new screening process has been launched under the spiritual and strategic supervision of Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Chairman of the Supreme Council, Minhaj-ul-Quran International. The process was facilitated by President of Minhaj European Council, Bilal Ashraf Uppal, in cooperation with President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Denmark, Qaisar Zubair Najeeb, and Director Directorate of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Shakeel Ahmed Tahir. Coordination responsibilities were carried out by MQI DK NEC Vice President and President of MQI DK Valby, Rizwan Ahmad Chaudhry, along with General Secretary of MQI DK Valby, Usman Zahoor Ahmed.

A Structured and Spiritually Enriching Process

The event opened with a beautiful recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by heartfelt opening remarks from Rizwan Ahmad Chaudhry, who acknowledged the privilege of serving this noble mission. He emphasized the significance of training and appointing spiritually grounded and mission-driven scholars to guide the Muslim community in the West and continuing the legacy of Shaykh-ul-Islam.

Distinguished panelists and observers included:

  3. Rizwan Ahmad Chaudhry – Vice President, MQI Denmark
  4. Usman Zahoor Ahmed – General Secretary, MQI Denmark Valby
  5. Dr. Urfan Zahoor Ahmed - Chairman House of Representative
  6. Muhammad Ayaan Usman Ahmed (Observer) – General Secretary Minhaj Youth League MQI Denmark &, MYL Europe

Thorough Evaluation of Candidates

Following a presentation of the job role and expectations, the screening sessions began. The role includes responsibilities in teaching (Hifz/Nazra), dawah work, organizational tasks, and financial oversight - all aligned with the values and goals of Minhaj-ul-Quran. The position is set for a three-year trial period, with progress meetings to monitor development and performance based on predefined goals.

All candidates, who were certified Huffaz, went through:

  1. Hifz assessment, conducted by Qari Muhammad Nadeem Akhtar, Head of the Hifz/Nazra Department, MQI Denmark
  2. One-on-one interviews focusing on their background, motivation, educational journey, and teaching experience by Rizwan Ahmad Chaudhry & Usman Zahoor Ahmed.
  3. A Khitaabah exercise, with 20 minutes of preparation and 10 minutes of delivery, toevaluate their public speaking and spiritual influence by Qaisar Zubair Najeeb & Bilal Ashraf Uppal.
  4. A session on strategic goals and expectations, with input from President MQI Denmark, Qaisar Zubair Najeeb & Vice President Rizwan Ahmad Chaudhry
The candidates were also given the opportunity to ask questions and receive clarification about the role and working conditions in Denmark.

The session concluded with heartfelt gratitude to Director Directorate of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Shakeel Ahmed Tahir and his team for their dedicated support and smooth facilitation of the event. The overall atmosphere reflected a deep sense of commitment, professionalism, and spiritual sincerity.
