Sayyida-e-Kainat Fatima al-Zahra (A.S) is a role model for women: Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri

Sheikh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Sayyida-e-Kainat Sayyida Fatima al-Zahra (salam Allah alayha) is that revered personality whose character, morality and conduct Islam refers to as an ideal to describe women’s respect, chastity, and greatness. She (AS) would continue to be a great role model for women around the world, particularly the Muslim women, till the Day of Judgment when it comes to bringing up the generations, protecting their character, and serving the cause of Islam. The women should take a leaf from the blessed life of Sayyida-e-Kainat (salam Allah alayha) in living a purposeful life.

MQI founding-leader Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri made these remarks on the occasion of the death anniversary of Sayyida-e-Kainat Fatima al-Zahra (salam Allah alayha). He said that Sayyida Fatima al-Zahra (salam Allah alayha) is that personality whom the Holy Prophet (PBUH) described as a coolness for his eyes and comfort of his heart and he (PBUH) would stand up to greet his revered daughter each time she came. He said that the faithful would be ordered to lower their gaze on the Day of Reckoning at the time of Sayyida-e-Kainat's (AS) arrival.

Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri referred to a Hadith wherein the Holy Prophet (PBUH) said, “(O, my daughter), Allah Almighty is pleased seeing her (Fatima) pleased and whoever incurs her wrath, also incurs the wrath of Allah.” Hazrat Ayesha Siddiqa (RA) says that except the Holy Prophet (PBUH), she never saw anyone more esteemed in the university than Fatima (salam Allah alayha). She said that whenever Hazrat Fatima (AS) would come to the Holy Prophet (PBUH), he would stand up, hold her hands, kiss them, and make her sit in his place. And when the Holy Prophet (PBUH) would go to Hazrat Fatima’s (AS) house, she would stand up as a mark of respect and kiss the hands of his father (PBUH).

Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri said that love for the daughters is the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). He said that the fathers should show their love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) by acting upon this Sunnah.
